Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 2026-06-21

These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by SharpShipper ApS ("SharpShipper", "we", "us", or "our").

By placing an order with SharpShipper, the customer ("Customer", "you", or "your") accepts these Terms and Conditions in full.

1. Company Information

Service provider:

SharpShipper ApS Lautruphøj 1-3 2750 Ballerup Denmark

2. Scope of Services

SharpShipper provides a parcel collection and forwarding service.

The service consists of:

  • collecting parcels from a pickup location in Sweden on behalf of the Customer;
  • either applying a valid prepaid shipping label supplied by the Customer, or — where the Customer selects this option — obtaining and applying a shipping label on the Customer's behalf; and
  • handing over the parcel to the carrier, including but not limited to PostNord, DHL, and UPS.

Where the Customer supplies the label, the Customer selects the carrier. Where SharpShipper obtains the label on the Customer's behalf, SharpShipper selects the carrier.

SharpShipper only handles parcels weighing up to 20 kg.

SharpShipper does not provide warehousing or long-term storage services.

3. Collection and Timing

SharpShipper operates a scheduled, consolidated pickup service. SharpShipper aims to collect the parcel on the next business day after the order is confirmed and the pickup location has the parcel ready.

Because pickups are consolidated to keep the service affordable, SharpShipper does not guarantee a specific collection day or time and reserves the right to collect within up to three (3) business days of the parcel being ready. Pickups take place on weekdays only, excluding public holidays affecting the service.

These timeframes are targets, not binding deadlines. SharpShipper does not guarantee any pickup, handover, or delivery date or time.

Delivery times after handover are determined solely by the selected carrier and are outside SharpShipper's control.

4. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer is solely responsible for:

  • ensuring that the parcel is fully packed and ready for transport prior to collection;
  • providing a valid prepaid shipping label when the Customer chooses to supply their own label;
  • providing any required authorization or power of attorney for collection;
  • ensuring that the shipment complies with all applicable laws and regulations;
  • ensuring that the contents comply with the terms, restrictions, and prohibited goods policies of the selected carrier;
  • ensuring compliance with all customs, VAT, import, export, and regulatory requirements.

The Customer warrants that all information provided is accurate and complete.

5. Prohibited Goods

SharpShipper does not transport, handle, or accept:

  • cash or negotiable instruments;
  • weapons or ammunition;
  • narcotics or illegal substances;
  • explosives;
  • counterfeit products;
  • dangerous or hazardous goods;
  • perishable goods.

SharpShipper reserves the right to refuse any shipment at its sole discretion.

If prohibited goods are discovered, SharpShipper may:

  • refuse collection;
  • refuse transport;
  • hand the matter over to relevant authorities;
  • cancel the order without refund.

6. Carrier Relationship

SharpShipper acts solely as an independent collection and forwarding service. SharpShipper is not a carrier and does not itself perform the transport of any parcel.

Depending on the option selected at checkout, either the Customer supplies a valid prepaid shipping label, or the Customer authorises SharpShipper to obtain a shipping label on the Customer's behalf.

Where SharpShipper obtains the label, it does so purely as a convenience for the Customer: SharpShipper purchases a standard prepaid label at ordinary retail rates from a carrier of its own choosing, in the same way any private individual would. SharpShipper has no partnership, agency, or special agreement with any carrier, and is free to select whichever carrier and service it considers suitable, normally the lowest-priced available option. SharpShipper does not guarantee any particular carrier, service level, or price.

When the Customer asks SharpShipper to arrange the label, SharpShipper purchases it once it has approved the Customer's uploaded documents and the pickup store. This normally happens before the parcel is collected, and, as confirmed at checkout, the cost of a label purchased on the Customer's behalf is non-refundable once the label has been purchased.

For labels arranged by SharpShipper, the pickup store's address is used as the sender and return address. As SharpShipper operates no warehouse or storage facilities, any parcel that cannot be delivered is returned by the carrier to the pickup store, not to SharpShipper.

Regardless of who supplies the label, the actual transport is carried out by the selected carrier under that carrier's own terms and conditions. SharpShipper is not the sender of the parcel and does not take ownership of it at any time.

Once the parcel has been handed over to the carrier, responsibility for transport lies with that carrier in accordance with their own terms and conditions.

7. Liability

SharpShipper's liability is limited in accordance with generally accepted Nordic transport industry standards and principles comparable to NSAB 2015.

In the event of proven loss or damage directly caused by SharpShipper during the period in which the parcel is under SharpShipper's physical control, liability shall in all circumstances be limited to a maximum of 8.33 SDR per kilogram of gross parcel weight.

SharpShipper shall under no circumstances be liable for:

  • delays;
  • missed delivery deadlines;
  • customs inspections or seizures;
  • actions by customs authorities or government agencies;
  • loss or damage occurring after handover to the selected carrier;
  • indirect losses;
  • consequential losses;
  • loss of profit;
  • operating losses;
  • loss of business;
  • loss of goodwill;
  • loss of data.

SharpShipper shall not be liable for events outside its reasonable control, including force majeure events.

8. Claims

Any claim relating to loss or damage must be submitted in writing to SharpShipper without undue delay and no later than 7 days after collection or expected collection.

Claims submitted after this period may be rejected.

The Customer bears the burden of proving:

  • the existence of loss or damage;
  • the value of the claim;
  • that SharpShipper directly caused the loss or damage.

9. Customs and Regulatory Compliance

The Customer is solely responsible for:

  • customs declarations;
  • import/export compliance;
  • VAT;
  • duties and taxes;
  • compliance with destination-country regulations.

SharpShipper accepts no liability for customs delays, confiscations, penalties, or regulatory actions.

Where SharpShipper obtains or applies a shipping label on the Customer's behalf, this is an administrative convenience only. It does not make SharpShipper the sender, exporter, importer, or declarant of the shipment, and it does not transfer any customs, VAT, tax, or regulatory responsibility to SharpShipper. Responsibility for customs, VAT, and regulatory compliance remains with the Customer at all times, regardless of which address appears on the label.

10. Right to Refuse Service

SharpShipper reserves the right to refuse or cancel any order, including where:

  • the shipment violates these Terms;
  • the shipment appears unsafe or unlawful;
  • documentation is incomplete;
  • collection cannot reasonably be completed.

11. Data and Privacy

SharpShipper processes personal data only to the extent necessary to perform the requested services and comply with applicable legal obligations.

By using the service, the Customer accepts that relevant shipment information may be shared with carriers and authorities where necessary.

12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Danish law.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the services provided by SharpShipper shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts.

13. Amendments

SharpShipper reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.

The latest version published on SharpShipper's website shall apply.
